The Music Mecca of the World

The most COMPREHENSIVE documentary about the most iconic concert venue

About the Rock’n the Rocks Documentary

Name any top-tier music performer of the past 70 years and chances are good that they have played at Red Rocks Amphitheatre at least once. Red Rocks, a National Historic Landmark, is easily recognized by two red sandstone and granite bookends. Creation Rock and Ship Rock tower at heights taller than Niagara Falls and help create acoustical perfection.

Rock’n the Rocks, The Music Mecca of the World, tells the comprehensive story of Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. We will chronicle the evolution of the world’s most spectacular outdoor concert venue from the geologic shifting of tectonic plates 80 million years ago to the most recent rock’n’roll blowout. Viewers will come backstage and behind the scenes with legendary musical artists, and see original interviews and concert footage never seen before in public. Rock’n the Rocks will feature interviews with musicians, historians, scientists, journalists, fans, roadies and many of the people behind the scenes with unique perspectives of Red Rocks.

We’re digging deep and showing 540 minutes of fun, fantastic concert footage and  exciting tales from the highest-elevation amphitheatre in the world.
